Vic Street Pete Gives You Helpful tips When Parking Car!

Pete

  1. Pull your up next to the car you are parking behind.
  2. Put the car in reverse.
  3. Once your rear wheels have just passed the rear bumper of the car you intend on parking behind, turn the steering wheel toward the curb.
  4. Your backend should start entering the parking spot.
  5. Once the front of your car starts clearing the rear bumber of that car, you should slowly start turning your steering wheel the opposite way to swing the front end of the car in.
  6. You may have to slightly adjust your car's position but that should easily pull you into the parrellel parking spot.

Practice, Practice, Practice!

Hope this helps.

Does these Crime Prevention Posters Really Works?

Check out these crime-prevention posters Jon Yen snapped last week! I make it extra large for you guys to see and comment! They all look quite pretty eh?  Here is the message of the posters!

"Low Crime Doesn't Mean No Crime" Simple yet strong. . . love it (:

Nice colourful designs! Big words! Website and logo at the bottom! Location? Road side? 4/5!

In my opinion, more memorable compared to the poster above. Nice use of the Ostrich there! At bus stop 5/5

At MRT station, although harder to read due to how it is attach to the pole, but it is basically the same as the 1st image. But still quite a looker!

Now we come to the question of the day, does the posters really work? Or it is just a waste of everything? Well, I think it works for me! As the location they chose are high in human volume, it can spread to more people. Also, the design(especially the 2nd poster, LOVE IT!) are very pretty and colour!

Website and logos are provided, the main objective is print big and clear in the center! Low crime doesn't mean no crime! Thus, we need to be alert all the those! And thus(again)! It raise our crime awareness! But that is my opinion only, how about you guys? Does the posters works for you?

Do participate in the poll and check out this forum! http://www.cleveland.com/forums/crimewatch/

Car Vandalism at Blk 10 level 3 multi-storey Carpark

Last night, Jon was parking his car at Blk 10 level 3 multi-storey carpark, when he saw some cars being vandalized by paints and scratches. Here are some of the horrifying pictures of those vandalized cars.Very horrifying pictures.

Man in blue with a poor grey "scratched" car

Sad black car sprayed with more "black spray"

This is gonna cost a fortune for the owner to clean up this ugly mess!

Finally we have passed those pictures. All the horrors from seeing them! Anyway from these pictures, we can see that crime awareness in Vic Street is not good enough! We do not want to see more cars being tortured while their owner's burn holes in their pocket to save their cars, right?

Hope everyone can be on the lookout for each other and inform suspicious characters in our neighbourhoods. Look out for people who are carrying spray cans/paint/any other stuff that might hurt those cars. Especially if they are wandering around the carpark to and fro. They might be a suspect!

So now you think you should "chiong" out, bash them up, tie them and sent them to the police station. like a  superhero but. . . NO YOU SHOULDN'T! It is best you call  the police for help even if there is only one suspect! Let our friendly police mans(& women)  to solve the problem and bring peace once again to Vic Street!
